Gothamist: Bearden’s Black Manhattan uses the perspectives of buildings, fire escapes, and art deco entryways to create dimension. The title may suggest all of Manhattan but Bearden signifies Harlem through neighbors peeking out of row-house buildings and seated congregations on the sidewalk. A bright, complementary palette of orange and blue recreates Harlem streets — much like 125th Street where Bearden’s studio was located.

OMG 😱 it's an explosion of culture, history and scents in there. I could still smell the lovely scent in my jacket when I left... like 2 blocks down and it's welcoming aroma still lingered. Wow! They've got so much stuff in such a tiny place and it's all strategically & perfectly organized. It gave off all kinds of future customer vibes in my mind.
